Ohio Housing Finance Agency Announces New Staff and Promotions
COLUMBUS, OH - The Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) is proud to share that Robert Kelly has joined the Agency and Cheri Kimble and JaJuana Smith in the Office of Single Family Housing, Loan Administration Division, have been promoted.
Robert Kelly has joined OHFA as the software development manager in the Information Technology (I.T.) Office. His career began at the Franklin County Sheriff's Office where he was the lead technician and architect. Most recently as the software development manager at the Ohio Department of Commerce, he led a team that managed the department's cloud-based systems. Robert is an alumnus of DeVry where he earned a Bachelor of Science in computer information systems.
Both Cheri Kimble and JaJuana Smith were promoted to bond accountant 1.
Cheri Kimble joined OHFA in 2017 as a temporary underwriter for the Neighborhood Initiative Program (NIP). She was hired full time to work with Loan Administration in 2019. In 2021, she helped administer the Save the Dream Ohio program, working with community action agencies, legal aids, and housing counseling partners. Before coming to OHFA, Cheri worked as a pricing manager at a Kmart in New Jersey.
JaJuana Smith also joined OHFA in 2017 as a temporary employee and has contributed to several major initiatives, including the Hardest Hit Fund (HHF), Save the Dream Ohio, and NIP. She later transitioned into an administrative professional role that supported key financial processes and developed analytical and organizational skills. Prior to joining OHFA, JaJuana worked at Chase Home Finance as a loan counselor assisting homeowners, analyzing loan information, and guiding borrowers.
