OHFA Announces New Staff and Employee Promotions

COLUMBUS, OH - The Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) is proud to share that Michael Clark, Gerald Wright, and Paige Loychik have joined the agency, and Barbara Richards has been promoted.

Michael Clark is housing development analyst in the Office of Residential Lending. A resident of Columbus, he has a bachelor's degree in business from Bowling Green State University. Michael has more than 20 years of experience in the mortgage industry in which he started as a processor and then moved into underwriting and auditing.

Gerald Wright is a new housing grant analyst 2 in the Office of Multifamily Housing. At the Davidson Housing Coalition where he recently worked as the executive director, Gerald organized policy development and program initiatives focusing on affordable rental housing development and management, financial empowerment, homebuyer education, and critical home repair assistance. Gerald earned a bachelor's degree in economics from California State University and has completed a leadership enrichment program.

Paige Loychik is also a new housing grant analyst 2 in the Office of Multifamily Housing. She recently worked for Roofstock as the accounting manager/managing broker for Ohio and Utah. Her duties included evaluating multifamily and single-family portfolios and helping mid- to large-scale investor clients to reach their goals. Paige ensured compliance with federal, state, and local housing regulations while emphasizing risk management and best practices. After receiving her real estate license in 2016, Paige graduated a bachelor's degree in business administration and management from Kent State University. She has certifications in Investment Risk Management, Real Estate Financial Modeling, and Ohio Real Estate Broker.

Recently Barbara Richards was promoted to the director of Multifamily Housing. She joined the Office of Multifamily Housing as the 4% housing tax credit section chief in March 2024. Barbara has 20 years of experience working in U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)-funded programs. She previously served as the deputy chief of the Office of Community Enhancements at the Ohio Department of Development, where she managed the state of Ohio's HOME Investment Partnership Program, National Housing Trust Fund, Ohio Housing Trust Funds, and Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery allocations, and launched the Lead Safe Ohio and Welcome Home Ohio. Barbara has a bachelor's degree in management information systems from Ohio University.
