OHFA Announces New Staff, Board Members, and Employee Promotions

COLUMBUS, OH - The Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) is proud to share that Adam Powell, Zach Boraby, and April Seib have joined the agency, and Madiha Maqsood has been promoted. In addition, four non-voting members have been appointed to OHFA's Board: Ohio State Reps. Allison Russo and Brian Lorenz and Ohio Sens. Michelle Reynolds and Hershel Craig.

Adam Powell joins OHFA's Office of Information Technology as a software development specialist 1. After graduating in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in computer science from Miami University, he has amassed a decade of programming experience with a strong background in full-stack development.

Zach Boraby is a housing examiner trainee in the Office of Multifamily Housing Programs, Compliance Division. With a license in Housing Quality Standards (HQS) inspections from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, he most recently inspected houses and apartments with approved Section 8 vouchers and reported any needed defects/repairs for Lucas Metropolitan Housing Authority. Zach began his career selling and leasing real estate then moved to property management and zoning. Zach has a Bachelor of Science in administrative services from the University of Toledo and an associate degree in electronics engineering technology from Owens Community College.

April Seib joins the Office of Finance as a single-family senior accountant. Over the last five years, she worked at Suburban Accessories as the lead senior accountant, managing a team through the COVID-19 pandemic, a company buyout, and an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software change. Her expertise lies in providing financial support, process improvement, and easier access to financial information for larger companies in a timely manner. April has a bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting from Ohio University.

Madiha Maqsood has been promoted to financial operations manager. In her new position, she will review financial transactions, monitor grants' financial aspects, manage financial operations staff activities, and improve and establish program processes and procedures. Madiha joined OHFA's Office of Finance as a bond accountant 1 in July 2017 and has since held the bond accountant 2 and budget officer titles. She earned a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Texas at Tyler.
