Ohio Housing Finance Agency Announces New Staff and Promotions
COLUMBUS, OH - The Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) is proud to share that Peter Wadam, Thu Anh Huynh, and Jolene Wong have joined the agency and Victoria Murguia, Eric Jackson, and April Seib were promoted.
Peter Wadam is the new single-family senior accountant in the Office of Finance. He earned a bachelor's degree and a Master of Philosophy in Economics from the University of Ghana as well as a Master of Arts in Financial Economics from Bowling Green State University. Peter brings expertise in economic analysis, financial modeling, and data-driven decision-making to support OHFA's strategic initiatives.
Thu Anh Huynh joins the Office of Finance as a new bond accountant 2. After graduating from The Ohio State University, her previous employers include Heartland Bank, a division of German American Bank; Citi Bank; and JPMorgan Chase.
Jolene Wong is a new associate counsel in the Legal Office. She has more than 10 years of experience working in public service. Prior to OHFA, Jolene served as in-house counsel for the Ohio Department of Medicaid and provided legal advice related to contract compliance and oversight of Medicaid managed care entities and eligibility determinations for Medicaid recipients. She received her bachelor's degree from California State University, Fullerton, and her juris doctorate from Southwestern Law School.
April Seib has been promoted to single-family accounting manager in OHFA's Office of Finance where she was originally hired as a single-family senior accountant. Prior to joining OHFA, she worked at Suburban Accessories as the lead senior accountant, managing a team through the COVID-19 pandemic, a company buyout, and an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software change. Her expertise lies in providing financial support and implementing process improvements. April has a bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting from Ohio University.
Eric Jackson has been promoted to infrastructure specialist 2 in the Office of Information Technology. In his new position, he will manage the IT Help Desk, OHFA's public meetings, audio-visual needs, and Microsoft Teams administration while also providing technology trainings to fellow staff members. Eric joined OHFA as an intern in March 1998 and has worked in three different OHFA offices. He has attended West Virginia University at Parkersburg, Columbus State Community College, and DeVry Institute of Technology.
Victoria Murguia has been promoted to a housing grant analyst 2 in the Office of Multifamily Housing, Planning, Preservation, and Development Division. She joined OHFA in December 2022 as a data analyst in the Office of Research and Analytics where her primary role was to conduct high quality research on OHFA programs. Prior to working at OHFA, Victoria was an intern at Bread Financial in the Delivery Operations Department and head of Accounts Payable for a property management company in California. She received her bachelor's degree in city and regional planning at The Ohio State University.
