OHFA Welcomes New Chief Legal Counsel and Senior Director of Housing Programs

COLUMBUS, OH - The Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) is proud to share that Matt Sutter and Tony Palmer have joined its leadership team.

Matthew (Matt) Sutter has joined OHFA as the new senior director of housing programs, overseeing the Office of Research and Analytics, Multifamily Housing, and Single-Family Housing. Previously, he worked as the property management business developer at Reichle Klein Group, the largest commercial real estate brokerage and third-party property management company in Northwest Ohio. Throughout his career, Matt worked for the Lucas County Metropolitan Housing Authority, the Board of Lucas County Commissioners, and the city of Toledo. He holds numerous affordable housing management and development certifications, including the Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) and Housing Development Finance Professional (HDFP) certifications. Matt has a bachelor's degree from the University of Toledo in interdisciplinary studies with a focus on public administration.

Anthony (Tony) Palmer is OHFA's new chief legal counsel. Prior to joining OHFA, he was the chief legal counsel at the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (formerly the Ohio Department of Education) for three years. Tony served as the general counsel to the department, providing expert and strategic legal advice to ensure quality education and equal access to learning opportunities for all Ohio students. He previously held positions with the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, Alden Law, and Franklin County Prosecutor's Office. Tony received a bachelor's degree in political science from The Ohio State University and earned a juris doctorate from Capital University.
