OHFA 2022 Second Quarter Agency at a Glance

Spring and the second quarter is home buying season. And a key time for OHFA to promote its homebuyer programs. The Office of Public Affairs continued its Single Family advertising campaign throughout the quarter as well as held numerous outreach and training events. The Office of Single Family Housing welcomed new lenders and had a steady volume of loans despite the recent rate increases. The Office also has partnered with CONVERGENCE Columbus to work to increase homeownership within the black community in Columbus. In May, the Office of Multifamily Housing announced the 2022 Housing Tax Credit Awards , and began preparing the first draft of the QAP Technical Amendment. The Office also announced updates to the application window for the non-competitive 4% tax credits, changing it from a quarterly application window to an open application process. And, the Multifamily Compliance team continues to conduct physical inspections at developments across the state. They also have updated program guidelines and released new dates for compliance trainings. The Office of Research and Analytics completed the Annual Planning process, drafted a blog and social media data byte on the affordability gap for Ohio’s extremely low-income renters, and analyzed the Save the Dream Ohio data to help determine outreach strategies. The Save the Dream Ohio program continues to help Ohioans as they recover from the financial impacts of the pandemic.
