Robert (Rob) Curry, CHN Housing Partners
Rob Curry is the Executive Director of the CHN Housing Partners (CHN). Mr. Curry is responsible for the overall management of CHN, its thirty-five (35) real estate partnerships / LLCs, and a combined annual operating and capital budget ranging from $40-60 million. The mission of CHN is to leverage the power of affordable, stable housing to change lives and improve communities. CHN's core operations include affordable housing real estate development (6,000 units), property management (2,000 units currently under management), and energy conservation (8,000 jobs annually). In addition, CHN delivers an array of housing stability resources, including utility bill assistance (30,000+ clients annually) and foreclosure prevention. Finally, for residents of CHN homes, CHN focuses on delivering a portfolio of resident services designed to maximize opportunities for families to enhance their own financial stability and success. Prior to joining CHN in 1998, Mr. Curry was the Program Director of the Cleveland LISC office. He received his MBA from Case Western Reserve University and his BA in Peace Studies from Manchester University.
Todd Carmichael, Ohio Housing Finance Agency
Todd Carmichael began his career with the Ohio Housing Finance in February of 1992 as a Housing Management Assistant. Mr. Carmichael duties included processing Section 8 vouchers and assisting with physical inspections on Section 8 Properties. Todd was promoted to Housing Management Specialist in March of 1993 where he conducted file audits and physical inspections of Section 8 Properties. From April 1998 to January of 2000 Todd worked in the Mark to Market Program where he worked on expiring Section 8 Housing Assistance Payments Contracts. Todd returned to Housing Management in February of 2000 as a Housing Management Coordinator. His duties included scheduling all LIHTC site reviews and ensuring compliance with LIHTC properties. Todd is currently serving as the Compliance Manager with the Ohio Housing Finance Agency. Todd holds the AHM, NAHP, CPO, RD 515 STAR and SHCM designation.
Bryan Venesy, Barnes & Thornburg
Bryan Venesy is a partner with Barnes & Thornburg LLP and is resident in its Columbus office. Bryan concentrates his practice on complex real estate transactions, including equity investments, real estate finance, affordable housing tax credits, community development, partnerships, and partnership exit strategies. Since 2016, Bryan has been selected for inclusion on The Best Lawyers in America list in Real Estate Law. In addition, Bryan serves on the Real Estate Department Executive Committee and is co-chair of the Firm's Low-Income Housing Tax Credit group.
Sabrina Waytes, Wallick Communities
Sabrina Waytes is an Asset Manager at Wallick Communities, with over 20 years of experience in banking and financial services with an emphasis on community development. She oversees a portfolio of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit communities in Ohio and Indiana. Prior to joining Wallick, Sabrina served in various Asset Management positions for Homeport, Column Financial and the National Equity Fund. She also served as Executive Director of Western Reserve Community Development and Vice President and Manager of FirstMerit Community Development Corporation. Ms. Waytes' education includes a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Howard University and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Cleveland State University.
Robert (Bob) M. Snow, National Equity Fund, Inc.
Mr. Snow is the Vice President, Dispositions at the National Equity Fund, Inc. Bob has more than 30 years of diverse experience in affordable housing. Before joining NEF in 2012, Bob worked for National Affordable Housing Trust for 20 years; 10 years managing its development consulting group and 10 years leading its Asset Management department. Prior to NAHT Bob was Executive Director for the Ohio Energy Action Corporation, which provided financial incentives for green energy retrofits. He has a BA in Government and Law from Lafayette College.
John Buchholz, NRP Group LLC
John is the Vice President of Asset Management at The NRP Group, where he and his team oversee a portfolio of approximately 122 LIHTC properties containing over 14,000 units. NRP's Asset Management strives to increase the value of the portfolio by improving the financial performance of each property, mitigating risk, and strategically preserving the physical asset throughout its investment lifecycle. Prior to joining NRP in 2016, John was VP of Asset Management at Alden Torch, VP of Fund Management at Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing, and VP of Asset Management at Red Capital Group. John has a Master of Business Administration from The Ohio State University, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
