Windgrove Senior Apartments is a new construction, residential development providing 30 one-bedroom apartments in a two-story building. OHFA funding enabled the owner to develop a community with older Ohioans in mind. The site features a large patio with views of the adjacent park, as well as a community garden. Amenities of the project include a library, community room with kitchenette and large community space creating an opportunity for residents to socialize. The development also has a fitness center and a walking path to promote exercise. Unit amenities include low-step or roll-in showers, roll-out base cabinet shelves, ample storage space, solid-core doors, and energy efficient items.
The development is close to essential services, including a variety of shops, businesses, and public transportation, with a bus stop just outside of the building. The unit mix includes 30 units affordable to and occupied by households at or below 60% of the AMGI. Services accessible to residents on-site include meal delivery, transportation, wellness programs, nutritional support, educational programs about health and aging, and a variety counseling services.
