Forest Village Homes consists of six energy efficient, affordable, new construction rental units, located in Yellow Springs, Greene County. The project consists of one- and two-bedroom units that are fully wheelchair accessible or adaptable. The homes are within one-half mile of the downtown corridor, minutes from medical services and on a public transportation line. Forest Village Homes fills a critical need for affordable housing in a rural area, with a thriving market in a close-knit community.

All units are aesthetically harmonious with the neighborhood, and incorporate landscaping, garden areas and bicycle racks. Unit amenities include microwaves and in-unit washers and dryers. Each has access to on-site parking, and covered front porches. The plans have incorporated as many energy-saving, Passive House design features as possible, to meet local priorities as part of the community climate action plan. The project is seeking certification through Enterprise Green Communities.

Forest Village Homes has entered into several memorandums of understanding for service provision, received several letters of local support and is in partnership with the Department of Developmental Disabilities, which will enable one unit to be reserved for a resident with developmental disabilities while others will serve residents with special needs and seniors.
