OHFA UPDATE - PAGE 8 - 2022 FOURTH QUARTER OFFICE OF MULTIFAMILY HOUSING: COMPLIANCE DIVISION UPDATE ATHENA LUNSFORD COMPLIANCE OPERATIONS MANAGER OHFA AUDITS The Compliance team has wrapped up our 2022 inspections and is working on schedules for 2023 audits. With an increased volume of audits, the team is starting to schedule them earlier in order to meet IRS inspection regulations. A big thank you to all of our partners who have been working so diligently on the upkeep of their projects through these challenging last few years. Compliance will also be going back to the required reasonable notice of no more than 15 days of an audit. This is an IRS requirement that was waived during COVID-19 and has since been reinstated effective January 1, 2023. If you have colleagues who aren’t getting our updates, please share the link above with them. ANNUAL OWNER REPORTING It ’s time to submit your 2022 Annual Owner Reports (AORs) to OHFA! DevCo is awaiting your submission. All 2022 AORs are due no later than March 1, 2023. Be sure to enroll in OHFA’s 2022 Annual Owner Reporting Webinar that will cover the Annual Owner Reporting process in DevCo, including discussion on tenant events, dealing with errors, XML uploads, finalizing the year, and completing the Annual Owner Certification form. NEW COMPLIANCE FORMS Our compliance forms have been updated and went into effect on January 1, 2023. We have also updated our required management questionnaire. Please be sure that you are using the most up-to-date forms for your project.
