OHFA 2021 Third Quarter Agency at a Glance

It ’s been a great quarter for our Single Family Housing department. Staff in the Residential Lending division started the fiscal year with significant volume increases. Our Housing Preservation division is closing the final chapter on the Hardest Hit Fund after having disbursed more than $775 million to 26,000 Ohio homeowners and greened more than 17,000 neighborhood lots. Housing Policy staff have been assisting Agency-wide efforts from gathering data to support the Homeowner Assistance Fund plan to creating interactive maps for the Qualified Allocation Plan, the guiding document for housing tax credit funding. In the Multifamily Housing Development division, more than $25 million in bond gap funding was awarded in late summer, and the OHFA Board recently approved the 2022-2023 QAP, which went through several rounds of feedback with development partners and stakeholders. Our Multifamily Housing Compliance division staff are “on the road again” for physical inspections. And three new staff have joined the team – just in time! The annual Ohio Housing Conference will be held virtually Weds., Dec. 1 – Thurs., Dec. 2, 2021. OHFA’s Communications & Marketing staff and conference coordinators are using attendee feedback to guide the structure of this year ’s event.
